Tuesday - 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday - 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Thursday- 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday - 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday- 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Sundays - CLOSED

Sunday hours have been seasonal between Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends.  The Board of Trustees vote each June to determine if we will be open on Sundays for the upcoming fiscal year.

In June 2023, the Board did not approve Sunday hours.  They will revisit Sunday hours for FY2025 in June of 2024.  Below is the official statement.

WPL Trustee Statement on Sunday Hours


The Wilbraham Public Library Board of Trustees made a difficult decision to discontinue Sunday hours. While the WPL Trustees are committed to community service and access to the WPL, the decision to discontinue Sunday hours was made for two primary reasons.

  • The WPL has a small staff that keeps the WPL open six days a week. Staffing for Sunday hours required hiring temporary staff.

  • The demands on the WPL budget are many. Significant changes were made during the last two years. The WPL mission is to provide quality programs and services.

In support of that mission, the WPL Trustees decided that it was best to redirect the resources that funded Sunday hours to further expand and improve programs and services.

While we are not happy with the loss of Sunday hours, the WPL Trustees are confident that community access and service is best served by the six-day schedule and by program enhancements.

From the East

Take Massachusetts Turnpike west to exit 8--Palmer.
At light, turn right onto Thorndike St.
Go straight through first set of lights.
Turn right at next lights onto Main St./Route 20. Follow Route 20 for 8.5 miles.
Just past Wilbraham Fire Dept. on right, turn left onto Main St. (map below starts here)
Go straight at STOP sign. Follow Main St. for 2.1 miles.
Just past statue on left, turn left onto Burt Lane (Green Universal Library Logo sign).
Take first left onto Crane Park Drive (no sign) and follow to the back library parking lot.

From the West  

Take Massachusetts Turnpike east to exit 7--Ludlow.
At lights, turn right onto Center St.
At next set of lights, turn right onto Chapin St. (Police & Fire station is on corner)
Continue on Chapin St  for approx 3 miles and straight through 2 sets of lights.
At STOP sign, bear to the right and drive over the bridge.
At next STOP sign, turn right onto Route 20.
Just past the gas station and the Wilbraham Fire Dept. on right, turn left onto Main St.
At STOP sign go straight through, continuing on Main St.
Follow Main St. for 2.1 miles.
Just past The Village Store on the left and statue on left, turn left onto Burt Lane.(Green Universal Library Logo sign).
Take first left onto Crane Park Drive (no sign) and follow to the back library parking lot.
