Open to children through 5th grade!

Tracking your reading starts on June 13th, and you'll want to have all of your reading and tracking done by midnight on August 8th. Every bit of reading matters! You can read on your own or enjoy being read to. Grab books from the library or from home, all formats are welcome--graphic novels and audio too! Participants earn a free book, treasure chest prizes, and chances toward the raffle! For every hour you read, you'll earn a badge. The more you read, the more badges you earn. Rewards and raffle prizes can be picked up starting August 12.

This challenge can be completed online or on paper. To join digitally, sign up for an account at wilbrahamlibrary.beanstack.com or download the Beanstack Tracker app.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Decorative Image

Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant and toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books before your child starts kindergarten. Yes, you can repeat books. Does it sound hard? Not really, if you think about it. If you read just 3 books a night, you will have read more than 1000 books in a year.

Sign up at the Children's Desk for this exciting program and receive a free book bag donated by LUSO Federal Credit Union as well as prizes for each 100 books you have read!
